Homemaker's Journal: Monday, February 3, 2020

Joining Sandra over at Diary of a Stay at Home Mom for Happy Homemaker Monday.

THE WEATHER THIS WEEK...

Today is beautiful, sunny with a high of 74. Warm throughout the rest of the week, with thunderstorms beginning on Thursday. It will cool down by the weekend with highs in the upper 50s. I'm beginning to think we won't actually be having winter this year.

AROUND THE HOME...

We had a busy weekend and family left late Sunday afternoon. The kitchen isn't too bad but the entire area could use a deep cleaning. The children and their cousins were busy running through the house and playing outside so we had more foot traffic through the main areas of our home than we usually do. I have a loads of laundry in the washer and the dryer and stacks of folded clothes waiting to be distributed to the children's rooms.

AGENDA FOR TODAY...

School lessons, piano lessons, laundry, and kitchen cleanup. We're hoping to go outside after piano lessons this afternoon to work on some landscaping since the weather is so nice. I have a few shrubs that will need to be transplanted to make way for a summer project. While we're outside, I'll have to set the jumper up on the patio for the baby so that she can enjoy the outdoors with us.

A FAVORITE QUOTE FOR TODAY...

The trick is to enjoy life. Don't wish away your days, waiting for better ones ahead.”

PLANS FOR THE REST OF THE WEEK...

My older son had baseball evaluations on Saturday so we're expecting a call from his new coach about practice times, so he may have his first practice this week. My older daughter has dance on Tuesday and Thursday and a therapy appointment on Wednesday, and both my older two children have a church activity Tuesday night. I'll be making a trip to the grocery store on Thursday and I'll probably also need to make a trip to the library this week or next. I'm really hoping to get some pre-spring yard work done with the nice weather this week, but we'll see how the baby does.
