Homemaker's Journal: Monday, January 6, 2020

Joining Sandra over at Diary of a Stay at Home Mom for Happy Homemaker Monday.

THE WEATHER THIS WEEK...

Sunny and in the 50s this morning. It will reach the high 70s later in the week with rain to come. This is the warmest January I can remember.

AROUND THE HOME...

We are lounging around mostly. There is a lot to get done but we're slow moving today. The vacuum broke last week so I'm borrowing my parents vacuum to finish getting up Christmas tree needles. The baby is in the swing but not asleep.

AGENDA FOR TODAY...

School lessons (if I can get our moods to brighten a bit), lunch, then piano lessons. My mother and I are headed to the next big town over later this afternoon to say goodbye to our Aunt Starr who has entered hospice.

A PEEK INTO MY DAY...

A FAVORITE QUOTE FOR TODAY...

“Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows.”
-Isaiah 53:4 (KJV)

ON THE MENU...

Much of the menu this week is up in the air, because there will probably be visitation and a funeral sometime later this week.

Monday: Pasta
Tuesday: leftovers
Wednesday: TBD
Thursday:  TBD
Friday: TBD
Saturday: TBD
Sunday: TBD

PLANS FOR THE REST OF THE WEEK...

My oldest daughter starts back at dance on Tuesday and Thursday. We had plans to go to Raleigh on Saturday but because of recent events with my aunt, those plans are going to have to be rescheduled. We have no other plans that I can think of. It's going to be a somber week for us.

  7. We're having the same weather, I thought it was winter?! A great quote, there are many like that to be found in God's Word. Hope you have a great day.
